William Shakespeare’s tragedy Othello is a polysemic and subjective play of the Elizabethan era that focuses on concerns of racial, gender stereotypes and the power of jealousy whilst being open to limitless interpretations. However, it is a condition in all Shakespearean tragedies for the protagonist no matter their material body to possess a hamartia that will lead to a fatal error in judgment.
